Silly Goose Turned to Parasol for Inexpensive Exterior Branding Solution
The Challenge: When Swig at Peabody Place between Second and Main streets closed, everyone wondered what would replace it. It fact, without Swig, the space blended into the office building losing its personality.
When business partners decided to open a hip, downtown lounge in the space, they committed to spending a lot of money to re-designing the interior. While the outside needed branding, they were conscious of cost.
The Solution: Parasol Awnings had the perfect solution -- recover the existing awning frames with new fabric and boldly feature the logo versus paying for separate expensive exterior signage. Parasol’s graphics specialists determined the best application process for the logo and how to achieve optimum visual impact.
The full logo is used on the larger awning surface that faces the street. To capture the attention of people approaching by foot, designers applied an “SG” monogram to smaller awnings facing the sidewalks.
“Everything was perfect,” said owner Abe Desrosier. “The new awning covers were delivered and installed on time and it gives us advertising from every angle. It was great working with Parasol.”
