About Parasol Awnings Parasol Awnings offers a complete line of awning services - design, art and graphics, manufacturing and installation - for commercial and residential communities. Fabric structures are designed and manufactured in our facility in Memphis with installation and shipping available locally and nationally. Parasol Awnings purchased Williams Shade & Awning Company in 1999 creating one company with 90-plus years awning experience. Williams Shade Company was founded in l910 and operated as a three generation family business manufacturing interior window treatments and its own brand of mini-blinds. The awning product line was added in the 1950's. Williams Shade & Awning is now operating as a division of Parasol Awnings. Some of Parasol Awnings' clients include Chili's Bar & Grill, Embassy Suites, Roadshow BMW, TGI Fridays, Perkins Restaurants, Fresh Market, Sam's Town Hotel & Casino, Fitzgerald's Casino, Marriott, Memphis City Schools, the Memphis Pyramid and many more. Parasol Awnings is an active member of the Memphis Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, IFAI (Industrial Fabric Association International), CSI (Construction Specification Institute), PAMA (Professional Awning Manufacturer Association), and BOMA (Building Owners & Managers Association International).
